Helium-3
Properties
Material Characteristics
Helium-3 is an odorless, colourless, tasteless isotope of Helium.
Physical & Chemical Properties
He-3 has 2 protons, 1 neutron and 2 electrons.
History & Usage
Everyday use
He-3 is used as the main reacting agent in Nod spacecraft fuel. It is combined with itself in advanced reactors aboard most interplanetary ships, which produces large amounts of energy and power and allow the ships to reach speeds in the hundreds of thousands of kilometres.
Refinement
The ground of Helium-3 rich veins are collected by large mining wheels, then heated to over 873.15 Kelvin in a chamber inside the mining vehicles. The He-3 gas is collected and stored in tanks, while the remaining soil and debris is returned to the surface of the planet.

Distribution
Trade & Market
The Bolus Company and Dulo Mining Concern were two of the largest mining companies refining He-3 in the late 3000s-Early 2900s BFP. They both had multiple mines and settlements across the Olthotez Ropout.
