This floor is in charge of sending orders and information to the floors below and sending reports to the floors above. This strategic position and its functions are used both by the Mechanicus Magum and the Authority Corps H.Q..

People on Facium often are somewhat forced to partake in one of three roles: runners, backer, or builders.Runners
Runners are on-field agents, the people who risk their lives adventuring throughout the whole Tower to deliver messages to other floors while going through the traps and sneaky places of the megastructure. Herminia, the M.M. captain of Facium, is a runner. Most runners like to take long vacations when the Annual Derby Championship is happening because the great majority are also Roller Derby players.Backers
Backers are always paired with a runner. They are the on-field agents' assistants. Their jobs are physically less demanding, as they have to simply sit in front of their tables, looking at screens to check the status of their runner, message, and mission. However, their jobs are extremely mentally draining as they have to be contactable 24/7, which leads them to often stay after hours, or to become self-absorbed in their jobs and, in worst cases, isolate themselves from everything in order to be always assisting their assigned runner. However, this last situation is more present in newcomers to the area. Most backers take vacations when their runner finally arrives at the designated location and takes a time to recover, or when the runner comes back to Facium to rest. Lucius is the backer of Herminia.Builders
They build, map, and maintain safe tracks for the runners. They are essential to the whole Latium and the message mission system relies on their hard work. Sometimes it happens that generations of the same family devote themselves to being builders.Other roles
Not all fall under the "3 Roles Rule" in Facium. Some don't have the physical, analytical, or mechanical nature that these comprehensive roles ask for. Besides, other roles are also essential for a functional society to work. Therefore, there are people that manage to be economists (mostly early-retired backers), scientists/researchers, doctors, etc...Geography
The floor is divided into two areas.
The M.M. area
Inside
In the middle of the m.m. area, there is a huge tower full of screens and windows. It has spinning doors and the screens are full of notifications about arrivals and departures of messages. There are six big pillars, which are used for people as vertical hyperloop tubes. These lead to a giant Roller Derby track on the upper part of the area's interior. The track has a copper cage surrounding it. In the middle of the track, there are resting benches for each team and the upper part of the huge tower, also with big screens to show the game (Jams), where the teams and referees come and go, and also where the announcers are.Tourism

Derby
Facium is commonly known for the Anual Derby Championship, where a lot of magum come to watch. Due to the war, many have to stay on their floors, however, the competition is one of the most famous events in the whole Latium.Voices Festival
