Tundra Mail Outpost #33

One of the 35 places in the Northern Tundra where one can use the Knights' Stronghold post system. Located a few miles north of Khione's house and about three hours travel northeast from Icedale. Located inside is a Message Typer and several boxes for sorting messages into. On a message you can put a specific address and person or you can simply state which Outpost it should be off to. There is an entire box just for messages going to The Knights' Stronghold. Once a week someone will visit and collect all the messages then send them out as well as place any arriving messages in a hanging basket. The messengers arrive so rarely because so few messages go through the outpost. The outpost is one of the more disused in the Northern Tundra as it is not on a major road.

Purpose / Function

To be a station for the mailing system.

Design

a small room just big enough to hold everything and have a walking path through. The inside is wood walls/ ceiling and stone floor.

Entries

There is one door and one window for the outpost. The window can lock but the door is only held shut by a stone doorstop.

Architecture

Compact and small, with a design for pure function, built of wood strong enough to survive the weather but not well insulated because no one lives there.

Defenses

There are simple latches on the windows, locks on the baskets so nobody can steal the mail that is inside. The door can be reinforced in case of a blizzard.
