Thorn Nymph

The Thorn Nymph is a member of the Fairies, and one of the most powerful flora-created Fae to boot. Thorn Nymphs are created by brambles and thorny vines growing tall and proud, so most are also proud and unflinching. Thorn Nymphs are very old, all of them being created as some of the first flora-created Fairies. The powers a Thorn Nymph possesses are impressive and numerous; powers possessed include:

• flight by the use of wings
• ability to hide the presence of oneself
• growth of bramble from the Thorn Nymph's body
• shaping of newly grown or preexisting vines
• Razor sharp thorns
• Incredible memories making them unable to normally forget events
• Can absorb nearby vines into their forms to increase their size or heal wounds
• Can alter what type of brambles they are manipulating
• Produce seeds within their bodies and store them

There are only a few Thorn Nymphs alive in Continental currently. Some of the Thorn Nymphs were killed a few millennia ago by massive fiery Beasts.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Made of vines and covered in thorns, two arms and two legs, pair of wings on upper back, the head is one mass of plant and smoother in texture.

Biological Traits

What constitutes the Thorn Nymph's hair is very sensitive and weak, and is the only part covered by any form of clothing.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Eats human food once per day if away from the brambles. If near the brambles doesn't need to eat or drink.

Naming Traditions

A Thorn Nymph names itself when it is created.

Major Language Groups and Dialects

Speak as if singing sweetly, almost all speak in archaic forms of dialogue. The one exception is if the nymph regularly speaks with humans for years. Then the speech patterns with pick up a more modern but still very formal tone.

Common Dress Code

Do not wear a lot of clothing except for a hair wrap that is constructed of metal bands and hyper tough fabric. The wrap can have intricate patterns on its surface.
