The Adventure Begins: Percival POV

This is the first part of the story, and the one that starts everything. Here we are introduced to Sir Percival the Frost Dragon, though right now he's only Sir Percival. We are also introduced to two other characters who we will see again, one is Galanthus "Khione" Bardot, a barmaid at an inn far up north. The other is Aestas Bardot, her father and owner of the inn. This is a fairly plot driven story, unlike the parts after it. During this part Sir Percival the Frost Dragon fights a Frost Dragon and wins all on his own, but at the cost of his right arm all the way to the shoulder. Then we flash through an entire year as Percival recovers and grows truly close to Galanthus "Khione" Bardot. This is only the start of Sir Percival the Frost Dragon's journey as a character, so he gets wounds and next to no answers or solutions! yay! Also this marks the first time in possibly years where Sir Percival the Frost Dragon finds he isn't wearing the mask in order to speak with people. Content warning: brutal wounds and graphic depictions of forfeited self-care. The early stages of trauma fallout, panic attacks, lies, not being emotionally honest, wound treatment,

Structure

Exposition

Sir Percival the Frost Dragon arrives in the small town of Icedale on his wanderings in search of work to be done, as he is currently not engaged in a job from the Stronghold. Aestas Bardot and Galanthus "Khione" Bardot tell him about a lesser Frost Dragon that lives in a nearby cave and has been causing misery.

Conflict

Percival decides to take on the job of defeating the Frost Dragon, and sends a report to the Knights' Stronghold through the mail. On the way there we see more of what Clover can do as a Continental Horse.

Relations

Protagonists

Sir Percival the Frost Dragon is the only protagonist in this story, and he acts very different when going between inner monologue and social interactions up until the end of the story. The mask resurfaces often though.
