Merchant's Rest

Merchant's Rest is a port city based near Dragon's Mouth and one of the main ports in the continent.
It has great connections to both Fourways and Stonesinger thanks to trading deals with the two city-states.    Thanks to being so close to Dragon's Mouth, one eternal nuisance are the roaming pirates of the Southern and Eastern Seas, harassing and trying to loot merchants coming in and out of the continent.
Merchant's Rest has a famous naval mercenary company Sea Lions working out of their port city, hiring out ships and mercenaries to protect merchants and other sea travelers for a price.

Government

Merchant's Rest is run by council of influential merchants of the city, chosen by their peers. This group is in charge of maintaining taxes and laws of the city alongside with diplomatic relations with other cities.

Defences

Standard naval defenses with some new technology in use. Protoype "Sea Mines" powered with chunks of the star-metal.

Infrastructure

One of the largest wooden docks in the continent, able to house over hundred of ships along with warehouses rented out to merchants and captains.
Has another, smaller personal port with their own docks for Sea Lions

Guilds and Factions

The Sea Lions, the famous naval mercenary company has its home based in the port along with its own docks.

History

The second established port city of Craterium, aimed to create more modern and better version of Warrior's Heart to serve more larger ships.

Architecture

Slightly more modern looking wooden buildings with some of the more important ones built with stone as well. 
Not too different looking from most towns and cities around the area.

Geography

Built onto a calm piece of the coastline, easy place near Warrior's Mouth into a natural harbor.
