Giant's Crown Mountains

The Giant's Crown is one of the two mountainous regions running down the middle of the island of Slèitear Talamh. It stretches south from where the valley of Strathay Ionad separates it from the northern Dragon Back mountains down to the lake district of Yìrloch on the island's southwest coast.
The Giant's Crown is home to the highest mountain in all of Slèitear, Bana-bhuidsich. Beside this distinguished resident, the area is actually very sparsely populated. Colder and less hospitable than either the west or the east coasts of the island, it is mostly home to outcasts and pariahs. The mists of the Giant's Crown also hides the elusive Lost Clans and their druids, who populate the many small settlements scattered throughout the mountain ranges that dominate the region.
