Bridgeway Soup Kitchen

A soup kitchen that Leah has been going to regularly for quite a long time for food, support and as a source of information. Recently, some of the regulars were forcibly turned into Cindermen or killed by them and then the kitchen itself was attacked. It is under the rail bridge near Hackney bridge, just east of Hackney Wick bridging the river Lee Navigation. The place is mostly Morlocks but some of the less fortunate others show up too. It’s not the sort of place that ‘civil’ people go though. The place is run by a boisterous flamboyant troll called Granite who’s always got a smile and time for folks. There’s a few other regular helpers around the place too. There’s some rumour that the soup has it’s own magic, helping those in need and driving off any pretenders. Not that many would go there not in need. And they probably wouldn’t eat the soup which looks and smells unappetising and paste like. Apparently some of the regulars have gotten used to it or something though as there’s been a number that say ‘it’s not bad’ or even ‘it’s good’. But the majority of folks who don’t need charity put that down to desperation. It's outside other than being beneath the bridge. It’s a social hub, folks help each other out, they talk they mill around there’s a certain sense of community for those there. People exchanging stories, information, survival tips and things they've seen/heard. There are 4 longish wooden tables with benches and an assortment of chairs dotted around. The bowls and spoons are wooden and simple durable pieces. .
