Biography

Childhood

Leah had a pretty normal life when she was little. She lived in a relatively small village in the North of England with her parents and was fairly happy. However, when she was 11 years old her parents took her on holiday to London. While she was there, they were attacked by werewolves. She barely managed to survive , albeit extremely injured (due to the possible intervention of Alice, though Leah's memory of this is hazy), the rest of her family were not so lucky.

She ended up alone, penniless, badly injured on the streets of London. She quickly discovered to her horror that the attack had turned her into one of the monsters that her family had been murdered by and the aftermath of her first full moon made her reluctant to seek help.

Following this, she spent the next 13 years living on the streets of London. She found she had a knack for building/fixing/tinkering with things so managed to earn a bit of money to scrape by. She found a derilict building that she claimed as her own that also helped when the full moon came around.

Meeting the rest of the Party

She happened to be in the area when Justin was mediating between two groups and was sat watching them when the Cindermen attacked. As he'd spent too much time getting everyone else away, he didn't have chance to get away himself. Leah couldn't just watch him be a hero then get abandoned to die, so ran in (in wolf form), attacked the Cindermen once, grabbed Justin by the scruff of his neck and carried him into the maze of allyways, away from danger.

Leah was introduced to Willow by Justin shortly after Willow had discovered she wasn't quite human. She was shown the Syringe to take apart and investigate due to her skills with mechanics.

While technically Leah had met Alice on the night she was turned, neither of them remember the other clearly from that. They met again properly when they both sprang into action to protect a poor man from Cedric Blackthorne.^S1

Abilities

Turning into a Direwolf

Leah has the ability to change into a dire wolf at will (unfortunately her clothes do not change with her). With the exception of full moons, she retains all her mental capacities though is unable to speak in wolf form due to not having human vocal chords. At full moons she is forced to change and loses control, she does not remember her actions during full moons. She is able to fight well as a wolf with her teeth/claws.

Regeneration and Toughness

Her body will naturally regenerate from physical injuries and she does not get tired as easily due to her body constantly regenerating. Her werewolf form is also tougher and able to take more damage. However both wolfsbane and silver negate her abilities and are extemely effective against her.

Enhanced Sense of Smell

Her sense of smell in wolf form (and human form to a lesser extent) is enhanced, allowing her to notice even weak smells. However, this does also mean that she is strongly affected by strong odours.

Mechanics

Seperate to her werewolf abilities, she is very good at mechanics and building/fixing/tinkering with things. However due to not going to school after primary school, her theoretical knowlege of how they actually work is lacking.

Physical Description

Leah has spent a lot of her life on the streets and that is fairly obvious in the way she looks. She looks scruffy, her reddish-brown hair is often tangled and messy, just sometimes plaited to stop it getting in the way. Appearance is not high on her list of priorities and if anything often looking pitiful can be helpful for people giving her money on the streets.

General Body Condition

Leah, while being healthy (her regeneration helps that), is very underweight due to not eating much on the streets. She has muscles and is very toned but has almost no fat on her body, leaving her sinewy and her ribs showing prominantly (when undressed). This does not appear to transfer to her wolf form, or at least fur obscures if she is underweight in that form.

Clothes

Her clothes are often what she can find or get very cheap. The clothes she likes, she will wear continuously until they fall apart either through use or by tranforming and ripping them apart. She wears flip flops often are they are fast to remove should she need to transform. She previously also often wore an oversized hoodie a lot due to ease of removal and it being able to cover most of her when she transformed back even if her trousers were destroyed.

More recently, Willow made some adjustments to charity shop clothes to allow them to simply come apart when she transforms and fall off, without destroying the clothes. These clothes unfortunately got drenched in blood, when she killed two Cindermen and had to be disposed of.^S10

Crow gave her a present of a necklace, which seems to be an eye on a circuit board and appears to be made from scrap metal.

Personality

Leah has not been around people much on the streets and struggles a bit with the intracies of social interaction, sometimes leading her to be quite quiet or avoiding social situations. That said she highly values people who do not look down on her just because of her living arrangements and will be very loyal/protective of the friends she does make.

Leah really enjoys physical activities from free running to tinkering with devices as these make sense to her and come naturally. Moving makes her feel at ease, so she is almost always fidgeting, moving in some way or tinkering with something. She is not very good at sitting still, she will easily get restless and if there is action going on that she is aware of, she will have a hard time not getting involved.

She also has a strong sense of curiosity, as she hasn't come across various devices due to living on the streets. She can find even simple electronic or mechanical devices fascinating and loves taking them apart to see how they work, then trying to put them back together again.
