The Strangers are a group of immortal, omnipotent beings that reside in liminal spaces (Bithua) between our dimension and Thotha and Nuf.

Anatomy

Each Stranger is different in anatomy and morphology, especially in their true forms. They have many different forms, but are most commonly seen in their true form and human form.

Genetics and Reproduction

Strangers can reproduce other Strangers, although the ritual to do so is extremely time-consuming and extremely advanced in terms of power.

All are incredibly clever and wise, as most have been around since before Christ.

Varies from Stranger to Stranger, although most have at least the power to teleport and hear/see everything within their liminal spaces.

Gender Ideals

Strangers do not have "genders" and do not have sexes at all. Most appear androgynous, although masculine and feminine appearances have been noted as well. They may adopt human genders depending on the Stranger.

Tâen- the oldest language in the world, unknown by humans.

Common Etiquette Rules

Most use common human manners, although greetings are different. First time greetings between Strangers requires that they show their true form to be polite.

Strangers do not have many customs, although their reproduction ritual--thàtaunanurd--is highly sacred and rare within their community.

Trying to initiate thàtaunanurd without a human corpse.

Circum Mortuis-- While not an actual figure, per se, the circus has been around since 600 BC and has gone through many, many names.

Common Myths and Legends

They say the Strangers have been around since the beginning of time, and are the wisest of all creatures. They've been mostly erased from human history.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Strangers sometimes choose human partners, although it is incredibly rare. Most view themselves above humans in terms of intelligence, and some even view humans as 'toys' to be used.
