Extraction Site gamma-27

Extraction Site gamma-27 is the largest civitas around the northern mountains of Zeon's World. It is and always has been a mining town and supply hub for the region. Until the marriage of Varneya Criswel-Moreno this city was property of the Moreno Clan but has since been transferred into the ownership of Sidian Extraction Co.. With this change of owner, conditions for the lowly labourers have significantly worsened which led to rising malcontent.

Demographics

Gamma's population mostly consists of manual labourers, miners to be specific, which is supplemented by industrial workers and a small caste of administrators and bureaucrats.

Industry & Trade

The main produce and exports of Gamma are numerous kinds of ores as well as a humble amount of rockcrete powder. As the sourrounding area is too cold and polluted to sustain the degree of agricultural industry needed to feed the city, almost all of it's food and much of it's water needs to be imported.

Infrastructure

As the main supply hub of the northern mountain regions, Gamma houses a significant number of warehouses and cargo terminals. Through the latter the vast amounts of raw and refined ore are transported towards the equatorial megaforges.

Guilds and Factions

Miner's Guild

This loose association mainly consisting of the eponymous local miners toiling under Sidian and provides an inofficial support network against local gangs and the corporate goons.

Sidian Extraction Co.

The new owners of this civitas are facing an uphill battle ahead of them. They are not fully established yet, but Sidian has considerable resources at disposal to tighten its grip around gamma-27.

Porter Gang

Stemming from the many smugglers among the dock workers, the Porters have tight control over everything entering and leaving the city via the magnarail lines. The Moreno-Clan cooperated with and respected their hustle, but under the new Sidian-led ownership of the city the long held order will inevitably be disrupted.

Moreno Clan

The former ruling house of Gamma. They still hold a lot of power, although not officially.
