History: Sledd is an ancient Star System, once settled by the Tutha when the Dragon’s Head Nebula was first settled. The System and world of Sledd, which was known by another name in times past is considered the oldest recorded major system in Drala, which also held it’s own mint. It was home, and capital to one of the first major Tutha kingdoms of Drala, but would later fall under the control of a rival kingdom.
When the Fabian Conquest of Drala began with the conquest of Kingsgate, the Fabians waited for reinforcements, and their emperor to arrive before they continued their advance. Sledd was quickly conquered, and the emperor held court to review the invasion with a large force under his command. He was granted several honors by his troops before 11 Tutha Kings submitted to him. Sledd would become the most important system, and world in Fabian Drala afterwards for a time. Temples to the God Emperor were built, the largest of their kind in Drala.
Many Tutha from the Sledd System would join in the Tutha Rebellion of XXXXX, and sack the system, along with the Bastion System, and the Harbinger’s Junction System. It is said that 700 - 800 million people were killed in the sack of the three systems. After the rebellion was defeated the world was rebuilt, but would never regain it’s once powerful status but many legends would spring up around it.
After the Fabian Withdrawal from Drala, many Old Blood Furse would make their home in, and around the Sledd System. Living in peace with the Fabian Tutha for many years. The first king of the Kingdom of Sledd was Duncan Sledd Aegis. At the height of it’s power the Kingdom of Sledd controlled the Systems of Sledd, Bastion, Harbinger’s Junction, Honeyholt, Malcester, Fort Alder, Marhold, Highburn, and Tamriel, among others.
The Kingdom of Sledd was one of the early Old Blood Kingdoms to convert to the Fabian Faith, but would later revert back to the Old Ways, and banish the Bishop of Bastion before the kingdom would finally convert back to the Fabian Faith a hundred years later.
The Kingdom of Sledd would later fall under the control of the Kingdom of Daxholm after the defeat of the Kingdom of Warwick. The System would be fought over by the Old Blood, and the Furse in the time of the Great Savage Host. Although it has a proud history, it has fallen through the ages in power, and prestige. House Sledd Aegis still rules from the world of Sledd, and dozens of cadet branches of the Sledds can be found throughout the two worlds of the System, Sledd, and Hartburn, as well as the minor world of Fanta, Star Fortress of the Paradise, and Asteroid Field of Wintervale.
