Skane Nebula
The Skane Nebula is one of the two Nebula that made up Furse Space. Although not as populous, or settled as the Furia Nebula it was settled at same time as the Furia Nebula by the 1st fleet with the Sigtuna Star System the last resting place of the 1st fleet.
Made up of 4 star clusters. The Fist, Wane, Bothina, and Highpass Star Clusters. The Fist Star Cluster has been united into the Star Kingdom of Fist, the Wane Star Cluster into the Star Kingdom of the Wanes, and the Highpass Star Cluster recently united into the Star Kingdom of Highpass but brought under the control of both the Star Kingdoms of the Fist, and the Wanes. The Star Cluster of Bothina is split in warring kingdoms as likely to fight one another as they are other Furse, or the Bolgar, Ruthen, or Techno-Mage Star Empire on their border.
When the Furia Nebula was conquered save for the Dukkum Star Cluster, many Furse fled to the Skane Nebula or the Dukkum Star Cluster of the Furse Holds. With the fall of the Furse Star Empire, the Skane Nebula has been in an almost constant state of war, if not with one another, then with their non stop raids out into the rest of the Settled Worlds. They have attacked star systems throughout Furse Space, and even into Lims Space.
Much of the Dragon’s Head Nebula fell to the Furse from the Skane Nebula. The Great Savage Host as it was known. The children of Rothgar ‘The Lost King’ Aegis Ring Anvil. The King who was killed by the King of Umbria on his return to Furse Space to be crowned as the first High King in over a thousand years. Captured when his ship put in for repairs, and executed. His death brought the wroth of hiss children who almost brought down every nation in the Star Kingdom and the rise of the Furse Law in the north of the Drala Star Cluster.
The dream of a united Furse Star Empire was lost with Rothgar, and many still wait as the Star Kingdoms of Skane still war with one another. With the Star Kingdom of Fist, and Star Kingdom of the Wanes the largest, and most powerful nations in the nebula, their kings are both seen as contenders to one day fulfill that dream, but locked in a cold war with one another, and both descended from Rothgar ‘The Lost’ King, Aegis Ring Anvil.
