History: The Malcester was settled by the Old Blood Furse starting in 6,697 ASU. There were light Tutha settlements in the system, a few homesteads, and holdfasts, but it was largely left unsettled until the arrival of the Old Blood Furse.
The Malcester System began to grow through the years, and became a major port and system in the Bastion Sector. King Wulfrun ‘The Elder’ Gisking stayed in the while she conquered the Bastion Sector, and Furia Sectors from the Furse of the Furse Law in her bid to unite the Old Blood kingdoms and build her father’s dream of a united realm. After King Wulfrun ‘The Elder’ Gisking’s death in 9,148 the Malcester System defeated a Furse raiding force attempting to raid the system.
By 9,216 ASU a royal mint had been built in the System on the world of Malcester itself. The System continued to grow, and gain more power under the Commonwealth of Drala than it ever had before.
In 9,283 Rodger Ash Dawn led a large Furse fleet in the Kingsgate Sector, and began a campaign against the Commonwealth of Drala. In the Malcester System Rodger Ash Dawn was confronted by System-lord Dax with the local Malcester System Fleet. Rodger Ash Dawn promised to leave the Commonwealth of Drala if they are paid a large payment. System-lord Dax is said to have responded with ‘We will pay you with warheads, and blades. With Sweat, blood, and tears’, before the battle of Malcester.
In the battle of Malcester Rodger Ash Dawn, and his force of a hundred and sixty seven starships of the line defeat the much smaller force of System-lord Dax. System-lord Dax is killed in battle, and his personal forces continue to fight long after his death, and the retreat of his allies. They inflict massive damages on the forces of Rodger Ash Dawn, allowing their allies to escape in the process. After the forces of the Commonwealth with defeated in the Battle of Malcester, there were poems, songs, movies, shows, and holo novels written about the event. System-lord Dax, and his forces became a great hero to the Old Blood, and their death prevent the slaughter of many of their kin.
Shortly after the battle, King Oswald ‘The Unready’ Gisking pays Rodger Ash Dawn a large sum of gold, credits, and other rich metals, and resources to leave the Commonwealth. Rodger Ash Dawn accepts the payment in the hopes to never fight a battle such as the battle of Malcester again. More than 100 billion credits, on top of rare metals, and resources are paid.
