Imperial Orders

Imperial Orders are organization that are granted mandates from a High King and the High Council. Grant the right to collect taxes, build their own War Colleges, and field their own forces. There are Imperial orders for everything in the Furse Empire. From a Mandate to the studying of Maths, to a Mandate of defending a world.    Imperial Orders range in size from few members to thousands and millions. Found spread across Furse Space, many Orders have train new recruits with their War Colleges. Each Order has their own ranks and structures, but a common feature is the contest between members of the Imperial Guard to collect and pin the badges of the various Imperial Orders on their shahs. Although experts and masters in the field are less likely to have pins from other Imperial Orders.   There are Imperial Orders for everything in Furse Space. Orders of sharpshooters for each and every form of weapons. Imperial Orders of teachers and doctors. Orders of historians and assassins. Imperial Orders of law enforcement, and construction.   Each world has their own Imperial Order, such as the Imperial Order of Coldfell, or the the Imperial Order of Redstone. Sectors and Systems are likewise granted their own Orders.   Imperial Orders have different badges for different skills, and ranks, which people display on their sashes they wear on their chest, often in the colours of the Empire or their own House or Clan. Each badge represents a skill mastered. Being trained in the use of combat rifles will yield one badge, while being a master would grant you a different one.   Imperial Orders are expected to equip and train an Imperial Legion in the service of the Empire. Although The Imperial Order of Healers might have several Legions of healers, most of their numbers find service in the Imperial Guard in the order of other Legions, offering their skill while only the most elite would be offered a position in one of the Order's Legions.   The Grand Masters of the Imperial Orders answer only to the High Council, and can only be disbanded by an act of the High King. As such, Grand Masters hold much independent, and many such as the Imperial Order of Jom are as powerful as any of the kings of Furse Space. Most Imperial Orders don't have the numbers to field a full legion, and make up the different with taxes made up by other sections of the Order.
