Iormun - Elder Dragon of Water

The Elder Dragon of Water, also known as the World Serpent, Mother of Monsters, is a primordial entity of immense power and mystery. According to ancient texts and legends, she was one of the first beings to emerge from the chaos of the universe, her serpentine form spanning the circumference of the world disc.

As the embodiment of the oceans and all its inhabitants, she is revered by sailors, sea-faring people and those who live near the coast as a deity of protection, fertility and bountiful harvest. But her realm is also home to countless monsters and other fearsome creatures, and it is said that the World Serpent is their mother, bringing them forth from the depths of the seas.

Despite her great power, the World Serpent's existence was forever changed by an encounter with one of the Elder Horrors, malevolent beings said to have existed since the dawn of time. The monster poisoned her flesh, sending her into a deep sleep and leaving her frozen in a state of eternal frost.

Despite her comatose state, the World Serpent is still worshiped by some as the ruler of the oceans and the mother of all sea monsters. Some even claim that she can still exert her influence over the realm she once ruled, causing storms and tidal waves as an expression of her power.
