Ata'Garmfar - Great Central Peninsula

Journal entry, Florianus, imperial scholar, in the 23rd year of the fifth age, on the topic of Ata’Garmfar in the beginning of the first age.

In my research into the early history of the peninsula of Ata’Garmfar, I have found that little is known about the precursor civilization that once inhabited these lands. However, deep beneath some of the major cities, one can still find the ancient ruins of this long-forgotten culture, hidden away in the caverns and catacombs that slowly sink away into the Under-Spires.

Legend tells us that Iormfar, God of the Oceans, washed away this civilization from the surface of the peninsula. Afterward, he granted the lands to his daughter-wives, the Iormfar Nuliphar - Ocean Daughters, so that they could make the coasts their home.

Much has been lost from the time before the High Wars, but what is known today is that the daughters of the ocean split into three distinct ethnicities. The Ith Nuliphar - True Daughters inhabited the peninsula and were devoted to the Ocean God and his Church of the Tides.

Back then, the region is known also known as Ata’Garmfar and was ruled over by the High Mother, who received the divine mandate to guide and support the 99 sons, the first of the Demigar.

Geography

Ata’Garmfar is a peninsula that is surrounded by a freshwater ocean, known as the Inner Sea. This ocean serves as a vital source of hydration for the flora and fauna of the region, and also provides ample opportunities for fishing, trade, and other maritime activities. The coastline of the peninsula is dotted with several access points to the ocean, making it easily accessible to the inhabitants of the region.
Standing atop one of the many hills in the area, one can witness the breathtaking views of the horizon stretching endlessly. The sunrises and sunsets are truly unforgettable, with the hues of the sky painting a stunning canvas. The Inner Sea, with its azure waters and diverse marine life, presents a mesmerizing sight that one can never tire of.
Adding to the natural beauty of the region are two inland seas, surrounded by verdant forests that typically grow around the hillsides. Together, these natural features create a region that is teeming with life and beauty, making it a paradise for those who call Ata’Garmfar their home.

Ecosystem Cycles

The ecosystem of the peninsula Ata’Garmfar is unique in its stability and lack of significant seasonal changes. The warm and humid climate remains consistent throughout the year, providing a stable environment for the diverse array of flora and fauna that call this place home. Even during the occasional powerful storms that arise from the Inner Sea, the ecosystem remains largely unaffected.
One notable aspect of the ecosystem in Ata’Garmfar is the absence of distinct seasonal cycles. Unlike many other regions where the changing of the seasons has a significant impact on the environment, the weather in Ata’Garmfar remains stable and mild year-round. This allows for a more consistent and predictable ecosystem, where the flora and fauna have adapted to the constant conditions.
Overall, the ecosystem of Ata’Garmfar is a testament to the resilience and adaptability of nature. Despite the lack of significant seasonal changes, the flora and fauna have evolved to thrive in this stable and predictable environment, creating a unique and thriving ecosystem unlike any other.
