Trow

Trow are a short, ugly type of Goblin, with sharp teeth, and a vile nature. They are known to be quite covetous of wealth, wanting to hoard gold and silver specifically. Due to their nocturnal nature, they have excellent night vision, with some being able to see in pitch blackness. They tend to live in small tribes, where the most viscous or cunning becomes the leader. Trow shamans have been known to possess the ability to change shape, turn invisible, and even turn lead into gold. Which part of this is truth, and which is myth, is unknown

Basic Information

Anatomy

Short in stature, even among the Goblin, rarely standing higher than three and a half feet. By human standards, they are considered hideously ugly, frequently with heavy and string head and body hair, and pointed teeth.

Genetics and Reproduction

A single trow matron can conceive and birth a litter of 2-6 offspring every six months. The infant mortality rate is high, which is the only thing preventing trow populations from ballooning out of control

Ecology and Habitats

Deep forest or underground. When living near humans, they frequently steal and scavenge needed resources

Dietary Needs and Habits

Trow can eat nearly everything, but prefer meat. When hunting is necessary, they use crude tools, like spears, to hunt for small game. They rarely hunt larger prey. They are quite adept as well at obtaining resources from nearby populations, whether from scavenging, theft, or just eating other sentient beings that wander too close to their home.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Single chieftain and or shaman per tribe acts as the ruler, and has breeding rights to the tribe females. Females that have produced offspring are called matrons. In the rare instance a woman become chieftain or shaman, they retain rights to choose who may breed with the female population in their stead.
