The Silver Blooming

The silver blooming is an annual festival in Skalan, that aligns with both the founding of Skalan and the blooming of the local Selvera plant. Every year, these plants bloom and their silver petals shine bright in the sunlight during the festival. The festival it's self is a celebration for the people of Skalan to show off their incredible talents. Because if it's unique mixed population of species, Skalan was thought to be the perfect location to host such an event. The silver blooming is host to a number of events, attractions, and even rides. It's known to have talent shows, games and tournaments, competitions, carnival rides, and booths for crafters, businesses, and anyone to show off a unique good or service. It is one of the few things the people of Skalan can all enjoy, regardless of species or opinion. The day often sees new friendships formed, love blossoming, and even an end to hostilities between enemies.
