The Laws of Chaldia
1. Magic energies are a natural part of the world.
2. Magic energies naturally coalesce into places of power, that can vary greatly in size.
3. Once places of power get big enough they spread magic leylines through the world, thereby spreading magical influence throughout the world.
4. Only certain peoples and races are naturally gifted with the ability to harness and control these magic energies. Others must work hard to develop a conmnection. Different magical forms depend on ones natural magical inclinations, though it is possible to learn other forms.
5. So far no mortal from the world has been able to travel to other planes, even though the spells are known. None can find a reason why.
Cosmology
The world was originally the home of Demons and Infernals and was created for them by an all powerful Arch-Demon. Once the world was found all different kinds of races found there way onto it.
Principal Geography & Features
A large continent with extraordinary locations dotted all over. From colossal Mountains, vast networks of underground catacombs, a dangerous magical Jungle.
Magic affects the natural world, from creating strange and dangerous phenomena, and beasts. But as time has progressed these affects have become less pronounced, as the settled world has began to take the balance of power from the natural world.
