Nerachi
The dominant species of Chakara.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Nerachi resemble a cat or a fox. They stand on their hind legs at around three feet tall. Their front paws have opposable thumbs. They have bushy tails with a ring near the tip. They come in a wide variety of colors, but blue is the most common.
Genetics and Reproduction
Nerachi are seasonal breeders, usually becoming in-heat around the fall. Females can give birth to one to seven in a litter.

Nerachi are omnivores, but are unable to digest chocolate.

They have large ears that are good for hearing and thermal cooling.Jir
A unique feature Nerachi have is the ability to produce and manipulate a magic-like energy they call Jir. They are able to instinctive cast Kas(spells/techniques) based on what is needed to survive. They can pass down basic Kas genetically, but more advance ones require training and discipline.Civilization and Culture
Naming Traditions
The Aura Tribe use names that relate to light or darkness. Examples: Photon, Shade, Aurora, etc.
The War Tribe somehow have Japanese names, and ones for parts of the body. Examples: Sokuto, Koshi, Empi, Ken, etc.
The Ava Tribe would name boys after periodic elements and girls after gemstones. Examples: Pyrite, Sulfur, Karbon, Amethyst, Ruby, etc.
Surnames are more like nicknames. They don't help track ancestry, but signify their profession or great feat.

A female having a big bushy tail is considered beautiful and fertile.
Average Technological Level
Before discovering the Multiverse, the Nerachi were living in the Gem Age, which was their equivilent to the bronze age.(the didn't have metal work till they met humans)
Common Dress Code
Nerachi normally wear clothes made of linen, cotton, leather, and silk. Males would wear a tunic and shorts, and females would wear sleeveless dresses. After the discovery of the multiverse frontier, they have been wearing clothes based on world they visited.
History
In time they formed four tribes based on their Ka Casting styles. The Aura Tribe, who channel energies such as Darkness, Light, and Void; The War Tribe, who use Jir to increase their natural abilities; The Ava Tribe, who use Jir to control the elements; and the Chant Tribe, who use Jir for tool building. Once they were at each others throats, but now they learn how to combine their talents to form a great civilization, focusing on art and learning. But in time Chakara was becoming over populated. However, the Void Masters, Aura Tribe Nerachi that mastered teleportation, have discovered the Ka for traveling to other universe, opening a new frontier. The good King Karben has declaired that Void Masters will lead small teams of young Nerachi to worlds, in hopes of starting new colonies.
