HTS: Healing The Sick

The HTS (Healing The Sick) was the first hospital ever built in Cesaret and still stands today. The inspiration for this hospital was all the diseases killing thousands a day. Back then they didn't have modern medicines to help heal the sick. If you were sick you were told to get lots of rest, and drink lots of liquids. People had to suffer with no real cures. Everyone thought the world would come to an early end, until someone discovered certain plants with healing properties. This man was Miles Henry. He had a diseases himself and went nearly insane. He saw a flower while flying uncontrollably in the sky, and flew down and put it straight in his mouth. A day later he felt so much better. Though still sick, he went in search for plants that could heal the sick. After finding many helpful plants, and a few bad ones, he logged them in his journal. He wanted a way to publicize his findings and came up with the HTS. He built a large building where people could stay and rest while healing. He hired people to take care of the sick and hired others to make the medicine. His idea went global and people were building hospitals everywhere. He went down in history know as the Savior of the Sick.

Architecture

In the early days of Cesaret architecture was not very advanced. People were just focused on keeping the building standing than making it look pretty. So the HTS was a breakthrough for modern design. He wanted the sick to feel relaxed and safe while they healing. He made the walls all circular and made of brick, and the ceiling a dome of glass. Under the ground the walls were supported by a new idea. Arturo had workers melt down rock and poor it into the ground. He then had them make and lay one circle of brick into it. They continued to build up from their. This act that has kept it standing for thousands of years. He had walls separating each patients sections so they could have privacy. The front of each section was a curtain and the walls were solid. The center of the building was circular and had seating areas and the front desk. People would walk through an open hallway to the center room and were greeted by the hospital staff. Through the years people have made sure to keep the HTS in good condition so it could heal millions of people

Tourism

One of Miles's last wishes was for this place to be for only the sick, injured, and their families. So no tourists are aloud.
