Infrastructure

The large square in Laxva Harbor, the center of the Edvald's estate, is covered with stone in circular formations. In the middle of the square stands the octagonal fountain where the water sprays out of three fish statues that look like they are swimming around the octagonal pillar in the middle with the statue of the city's two founders, Emperor Perydos, and Egon Edvalds, the first of Edvalds. The square is lined with long rows of shops of all kinds; tailoring, blacksmiths, shoemakers, bakeries and pastry shops, restaurants, taverns, and inns. Further away there is the eroniumian temple brothel close to the massive shipyards.

Guilds and Factions

The Fishermans Guild has many members in the city and a monopoly on the fishing market. The Salmon Shipcrafting Guild makes all kind of ships, and they trade wood from Bearpoint with the fish they buy from the Fishermans Guild for fishing ships.

History

Laxva Harbor was founded, as mentioned, by Emperor Perydos and Egon Edvalds, the first Edvalds, in 83 AF because they needed another harbor to be able to sail west. It was founded to be the last resort if they ever should be invaded from inferiors and needed to flee out back to the sea. But when that invasion eventually came, they were able to push them back and Laxva harbor lost its original purpose.

Tru out the years passed, the Laxva harbor was time to time invaded and retaken because of its strategic position. But in the peace between Eldercrest and Karitos, established by the Edvalds winning the Karitorian honor duel it was decreed that Laxva harbor forever should remain under the control, government and jurisdiction of Eldercrest. This was verified and signed in the Document of Laxvannian Peace.
