They believe that there is a goddess that everyone must climb to strive for complete perfection - and become a god. The "Lord-on-the-top" mentality is central to Egosumdieu. They believe that man has developed for a long time, to become bigger, stronger and better. Egoism is greatly appreciated and mentality such as compassion and love is despised as a parasitic weakness. They worship the exaltation of self. They believe that the goddess Hekate created the magic and that she is a goddess of gods and goddesses, even of ladder gods. The magic and lust for power are central to Hecatism.

History

The first mages believing in hecatism left the community when the restriction of all magic performance came. The fact that they would need to report themselves to the order of Maigal and be registered and get permission to wield magic was an outrage. It resulted in the tragedy of Marrys and later on the Plasmatic Battle. About 300 followers to the newly founded religion escaped the wrath of the Order and fleed to Nivelia, the dreorish country the Eroniumian Chuch did not control.
From there they in silence, in secret rebuilt their religion. But since the Dreors in Nivelia did not persecute them, they did not feel the need of taking over the country. Slowly thrive for hundreds and hundreds of years.
