War of the Lords

Where the Golden Ruins are in the middle of the Eastern Continent, there used to be a golden empire owned by minotaur lords. When they used to exist, they kept the whole Eastern Continent in check and made sure that everyone, minotaur or not, followed the rules and one of the rules got broken by the gnolls.
Their break of a rule considering the overly magic induced slaves caused the shadowwalkers to fight back, break free and escape, leaving the Eastern Continent overall and disappearing into a place no one else can go to. Chaos broke loose once other non-shadowwalker slaves fleed to freedom as well and while most of the others were stopped by the gnolls, orcs and goblins, the minotaur lords were displeased and were about to punish the citizens of Trade City, Orsimar, Orsanium (the underground town underneath Orsimar) and Naughtrest.
However, they didn‘t see reason why it was the fault of all the people in those cities and towns when only the gnoll slave keepers had something to do with it so they resisted and thus the war of the lords started.
The war took over 4 years until there were no minotaurs to be found. It turned out due to the war, the minotaurs went extinct, trying to defend their home to their last breath.

The Conflict

Battlefield

The battlefield were the deserts of the Eastern Continent, like Kitsunia, Agony desert the Golden Empire which turned into Golden Ruins years later.

Outcome

For the first time in centuries, the slaves were free to flee and live in peace, since they were no longer slaves, unless they got captured by some other slave hunters again.

Aftermath

All of the shadowwalkers, who used to be enslaved dark elves with an overdose of magic injected into their body, could escape once they fought and resisted any further torture from the gnoll slave keepers. Now they live peacefully in a place where no one else but themselves can go to. The minotaurs however lost their home and their lives. They ceased to exist.
