Tables

Tables have been around for a very very long time. They are all over the world and serve many different uses. Tables are made from any material that is available. Most commonly though are wood and stone. They are used both practical, ornamental, or ceremonial. Some uses are: To eat at. To place items on. To store stuff. To display things. Where people leave their things as they reach home. As a place to put books and scrolls on next to their sleeping areas. As device to put things up and out of the way of dirt and bugs. Where they prepare food. A place to work on. And the list goes on.   On the Lafliuton continent in their libraries, workshops for craftsmen, magic users, and shops they have floating tables. These floating tables use the flying hematite and magic to either follow people around or float around an area. The ones that follow people have a mark that the person is also given so the table will only follow that person and not just any random person that walks by. The librarians use these tables to help them sort and re-shelve the books. Workshops, magic users mostly use them so they don’t have to keep walking back to a set table. They also use them while they are outside gathering supplies. In shops they have tables that follow customers so they don’t have to carry all the items they are buying in their arms.   On the Owhua continent they grow certain trees into tables, resulting in a very organic looking tables. Many of these tables are grown when some one builds a new home. There are also table farms for those that don’t live in the tree homes. They also have specialist growers for ornate tables.   On the Nucrana continent they use stone tables for their food prep as they claim the stone that it is made out helps keep the food colder thus keeping food born illnesses away.   On the Efren continent they are known for have beautiful tables even their most plain tables are ornately decorated and carved.
