SiGo

The most popular sport is called SiGo. It is played at every level from the back yard to professional. The professional rule set are these. 1-Two teams of six. One protector, two scouts and three attackers. 2-Teams have 10 minutes to hide flag at the arena, there is a spell below the crowd to avoid the crowd telling players where the other team flag is. 3-Scouts can hide and locate the flag but can not get it. 4- Scouts can not retrieve the flag. 5-No life threatening attacks. 6- the protector does not have to be around the flag or home base. 7- the attackers can only use balls and non lethal magic balls. The game is won when one team gets the other teams flag back to their home base or all the attackers or scouts of one team are captured. Professional and school games are held in a giant stadium. The stadium’s landscape changes every game. Forest, swamp, rocky landscape, city. The only magic that is allowed is shields to block attacks or non lethal magic balls. Once the flag has been set then the leaders of each team, either an attacker or scout meet in the middle of the playing field for a coin toss. The winner of coin toss gets one minute head start. Both teams start at their home base where the flag may or may not be. Each team doesn’t know where the others home base is. If an attacker or scout is attacked and hit they are captured and go to a cell which is in the center of the playing field. Any player can free prisoned team mates. To free a captured team mate they tag them. Depending on the landscape this can be easy or hard as the cell can but slightly hidden, raised and difficult to get or out in the open. The protector can either stay around the flag or home base protecting it or can accompany the attackers to help keep them safe. Most protectors help the attackers and scouts. The professional set of rules are used for official games both professional and school games. For child or just for fun game the rules are mostly the same with a few changes. One magic is not allowed. Real shields and balls are used instead. Kids have also been known to use sticks they find to knock the balls away. Also it can be played with more or less people. The max protectors are two per team. Number of attackers and scouts is up to the two different teams. Although teams need to be even. There also can be no protectors if there is a small group playing. The playing field is determined by the group playing, once the boundaries have been set they don’t change. If a team puts their flag out of the said boundaries they lose automatically. Mostly these games are played in back yards or parks.
