Master Guardian of Freedom

In the delta of Owhua resides four large shifter packs. Each pack has what they call the Master Guardian of Freedom. This is the title of one who has mastered the Akaeju martial art of the delta packs. There are many who become what is called a guardian of Freedom but there are only four Master Guardian of Freedom. The Master Guardian of Freedom is an important role in the community. Master Guardian of Freedom is sought out in times of distress. They are tasked with the protection of the pack. To make sure they keep the freedoms that their ancestors fought for. They are also to pass the teaching of Akaeju down. They appoint teachers in each village, town that is apart of their pack. Some of the delta shifter packs have up to 10 villages and a town, or 5 villages and 3 towns. Another responsibility of the Master Guardian of Freedom is to attend meetings of the world recognized kingdom of Owhua. There they continue to fight for their people and to make sure things are being taking care properly. Master Guardian of Freedom is a life long position once it is achieved. The training to become a Guardian of Freedom is a long process. The first part is learning Akaeju completely. Once that has been done trainees are to spend 15 years learning three other fighting styles. Once that is done there is a test of the knowledge of Akaeju and the three other styles done by their Akaeju teacher also known as, Guardian of Freedom. Lastly learning the backstory of Akaeju and why it is called Guardian of Freedom. Once the trainees have done this there is one final grueling test by the four Master Guardian of Freedom. This test takes a full day and it is physical, and mental. There are many in these packs that hold the title of Guardian of Freedom but only four of Master Guardian of Freedom.
To become the Master Guardian of Freedom there must first be an opening. Meaning one of the previous have died, killed, or is to sick to continue. Any one that is a Guardian of Freedom is welcome to test to become the next Master Guardian of Freedom. These candidates spend a month both training and gathering more knowledge. After that month they are tested by the other Master Guardian of Freedom and their peers. This test takes two days and at the end only one will pass. Unlike the test to become the Guardian of Freedom the Master Guardian of Freedom has known to have at least two or three die in the process of the test. Those who have died in the testing have been greatly honored and the test was slightly altered to hopefully prevent future deaths.
