Inaltaesi

Inaltaesi is a town along the northwest coast of Efren in the kingdom of Zakido. It is a bustling town that sits on along the sea. Many tourist visit for the many beaches in the area. There are many farms around that provide many different fruits, vegetables, and grains. The town has a strong and diverse industry. The lord of the town lives right outside of town in the close hills. The lord’s mansion over looks the town and surrounding area. Even when Inaltaesi was just a small village the people knew of the dangers that the sea brings. At least once a year there is a huge storm that rolls in causing some damage. The people have built up some defenses along the beaches to slow the sea during the storms. These defenses have worked for many years and storms have not caused much damage or even trouble.
Then in the 40th year of isolation a winter storm that hadn’t been seen in living memory hit the town. It started slowly in the early morning with lots of rain. Soon though they could see the winds pick up along with the rain. The lord of Inaltaesi Durlan Yllarie made a decision to have the towns people evacuate around mid morning. He told them to flee into the hills or to his estate. Many heard his call and did as asked. The towns people took a few provisions and quickly made their way to the hills and to the lord’s walled estate. There were still several that did not follow the lord’s suggestion and stayed in their homes. By late afternoon the winds had gotten worse and the sea was already at the defense line for the town. By evening the sea invaded the town, flooding most of it. All through the night the towns people could hear the roaring winds, and trees groaning and snapping. In the morning the devastation was easily seen. Most of the town had been flooded, and flatten by the winds. Durlan Yllarie sent out volunteers to see if there were any survivors in the town. He also sent other volunteers to see if any others needed assistance also to send word to the King and Queen about the disaster. Many who had stayed in the town had been killed but there were a few survivors. The town spent the winter in a makeshift village within Durlan Yllarie’s estate and fixing the town. The King and Queen had sent specialties to help improve the defense of the town against the sea. It took a few years for the town to return back to its’ original state. Since then it has grown and every two years they evaluate the defense to see if it needs improvement.

Government

There is a lord of the town appointed by the King and Queen. The lord, appoints officials under him to handle different tasks. Such as a sheriff for the law. A commissioner over different sections of the town management such as the trade industry, entertainment, hospitality sectors, and agricultural.
