Glen Fever

Glen fever is a horrible sickness for teens through young adults. It would start with a mild fever, and exhaustion. By the next day the individual would have a rash all over their body. Some cases they have a sore throat. In extreme cases there is also swelling of the limbs affecting the hands and feet the most. A fourth of those who contract Glen fever would die. Those that survived are often left disfigured because of the rash and have continued problems with a recurring outbreak of a rash. Until recently there was no cure to this illness. Only treatments to make people more comfortable and hope for the best. Each medic had their own way of treating it. Also each area had their own ways of dealing with the outbreaks of the illness. Generally the affect ones were isolated form their peers to keep the outbreak small. The older adults were the ones that took care of them. Recently a medic on Nucrana found the cure, it was a mixture of herbs, fungi both which were found in the Notnola Glen. The same herbs and fungi have been found in other glen areas since. The earlier the illness is caught and treated by the cure the faster and less lingering effects.
