Ebonyhollow

Ebonyhollow is a mining town deep in the mountains close to Owhua’s major trading hub Dewwell. This town Ebonyhollow is sparsely populated, the sounding area of mountains is dark in color and very little vegetation grows there. Expect for around the town, as it is set in a small fertile valley. The mountains are either covered with a mist or searing hot with the sun reflecting off the dark ground. Ebonyhollow used to be known as a jewel in the dark mountains until a mining company known as Obsidian Depths, or Obsidian death to outsiders came in. The Obsidian Depths took over in what some called a military manor over throwing the B Venturers company. Once they took over they ended up driving out most of the thriving good business. In there stead they placed their own businesses. The workers that had been working for the B Ventures were then forced to work for the Obsidian Depths. Those that refused to work were quickly eliminated and made examples of.
When word reached the leaders of the land they attempted to overtake the company. This failed because of the remote location, in ability to get into the town its self. Now the area is considered to be a lawless. Those that venture to the small village rarely come back. The trade and goods still come by they are by official Obsidian Depth caravans. There are many roomers that Obsidian Depth recruiters, basically kidnappers, visit other little villages and towns taking new workers. Some even say that if you go to Ebonyhollow you will be taken and forced to work. Some has speculated that there are a few of the shadier taverns and inns that are along the roads in the mountains are also working with the Obsidian Depth company by finding unattached, young strong men, drugging them and then while they sleep sending them off to Ebonyhollow.
Many citizens want to their leadership to do more to control and fix the problem of the Obsidian Depth company but they are being hard pressed to as the trade of the minerals are still being done. Causing some unease with the local leadership and unrest in the area.
