Allerry Peaks

One of the most inhospitable regions on Owhua is the Allerry Peaks. They are a small but tall mountain range in the northwest of Owhua. There are five peaks in the range with passages on either side of the mountain range. Some mistake one of the peaks as two because it has a dip creating two peaks, looks similar to a prongs. Allerry Peaks themselves are very tall, steep sides. As you approach the Allerry Peaks from the north you come to stone cliffs that stretch almost all the way across from coast to coast in the part of the continent. Behind these stone cliffs lies the Allerry Peaks. Five craggily peaks rise quickly from that stone cliffs. The Allerry Peaks look as if they are sitting on a platter. Going to the south the land coming from the Allerry Peaks is more gentle rolling hills.   While one of the things that makes the Allerry Peaks inhospitable is that the are tall and many things don’t like to grow that far in altitude, it is not all. The area is known for many storms and seemingly random weather. Some shifters on Owhua swear that the mountains are cursed and that they are magic and that is why they are so unpredictable. However that is not it, the mountains just lie in an area that gets warm air from the north combining with the cooler are from the south. Then there are the occasional winds that come from the east or west. Because of this weather, the peaks are not often fully seen being mostly in cloud.   High in the Allerry Peaks there is a spring. This spring is the beginning of one of the largest rivers on Owhua. It starts up high in the Allerry Peaks there are very few who have seen the spring that starts this river. It was said to be found by a shifter named Saku which why the river is called Saku river. Saku river is one of the major rivers that run into the delta in the south of the continent.
