Alaric

The Alaric is a type of passenger ship that sails the Central Haven oceans. These ships can carry up to 200 passengers with 100 crew. This ship is powered by an aetheric generator. There is the main deck which is open to the sea, with the command deck along with a dining room underneath with officer quarters and most sought-after rooms. There are two more decks below. The second deck has the rest of the passenger rooms. Also on the second deck, there are two entertainment rooms. One has a stage that puts on theater performances, bands, dance troupes, and such. The second is more of a place for dancing and just gathering. Under the second deck, there are the crew rooms, storage, and the aetheric generator room.
These ships are built and run by two families that reside on Nucrana and Owhua. However, these families have contracts on each continent. Each continent builds the ships with the same plan but then they change how they are decorated. That is one of the defining aspects of the Alaric, they are very ornate and beautifully designed. The ones from Efren are ornately carved with fruits and terellas all over the ship. They are also jeweled-toned painted. The Nucrana ships are less caved and are generally painted in the Nucrana Republic colors of Silver and Burgundy red. The ships built in Lafliuton are carved with the crests of each of the three shifter nations along with a crest that represents both the Elvin communities which reside on Lafliuton. These are painted simply. The last ones from Owhua, have carving seances of mountains, rivers, and other natural scenes from Owhua. These are all painted in vivid colors.
When the first ones were sent out to sea and were quickly attacked by pirates the builders made some changes. Each of the Alaric now employs those that know how to fight and have equipped their ships to have weaponry that is hidden. Since the new improved Alaric appeared the pirate problem went down as they were no longer an easy target.
