Age Stone

Yotril is the stone know as the age stone among the Kamlilta Clan. Kamlilta brithday celebrations   Yotril is a common rock found on Nucrana in the hills and mountains. So much that the elves have deemed it useless other than looking pretty. The Kamlilta clan on the other hand find that the Yotril or age stone is vital to their culture. It is given at the 100 birthday and kept for the rest of the shifter’s life. The Kamlilta clan see it as a way that keeps them close to their mountain home. It also reminds them that things are always changing but the mountain stays the same.   There are many small age stones on the ground, they are small and used by young children for playing games. The small ones also do not change color, like mined ones do. The small ones are gray and white in color and are flat, sparkle and usually broken.   Kamlilta clan mines the Age stone from a mine that is close to the city Montnau. The mined age stones are much bigger and to the shifters pure mountain.   When the stone is pulled out of the ground it is clear. It is cut and polished and placed in either a necklace or bracelet. As this stone is worn it slowly changes. Each stone is slightly different. The differences are in who wears them and how the stone its self reacts to them. The ones worn by females tend to color towards purple, blue and green while the ones worn by males color towards red, orange and green. It has a main color with lighting strikes of other colors. The stones change the longer they are worn. The deeper the main color and the more lightning strikes the longer it has been worn.   The age stones of loved ones that have passed are also kept with in the family. The more wealthy have the stones placed in elaborate cases along with the ancestors’ stones on display to show off the array of colors. While most other families are kept in simpler ones.
