Alliance of the Three Kindoms

The Alliance of the Three Kingdoms was the religious organization that preceded the formation of what would become the Holy Empire. The royalty of three kingdoms were all converted to the same religion and, using their inherent power enforce a main religion in their own population. After the disbandment of the alliance the remaining kingdom amassed a large army and created what would become the Holy Empire.

Structure

The organization started as a religious movement in a kingdom in the West of the continent. Over time the religion became so prevalent the monarch of the Kingdom became a convert. Thus the highest religious position became held by the King and the position became a heritage position. Soon three kingdoms in close proximity all held this religion and formed an alliance. The religious decision were made by the monarch of all three kingdoms.

Culture

As the religion became more widespread and popular they gained a weariness of outsiders and those who did not follow their religion. They became unwelcoming to outsiders but extremely established in their own community building a significant support culture.

Public Agenda

The main purpose of their organization is to live within the rules of their god and to spread the religion as effectively as they can.

Disbandment

When the first Emperor of the Holy Empire rose to power in his Kingdom he approached the other Kingdoms in the alliance with a plan to extend their boarders and convert most of the continent to their religion. In response to this refusal the Emperor conspired with the religious advisors to the other kingdoms and overthrew the other monarchs. He then publicly executed the former rulers as heretics, winning approval from the general public. With new found civilian support the kingdoms were united under one banner, bringing an end to the Alliance of the Three Kingdoms.
