Celestia

Celestia is a large island continent in the world of the Forgotten Realms of Dungeons and Dragons. It is an ancient land settled thousands of years ago by nomadic seafarers from distant lands. Civilization sprung up quickly in the fertile lands and it prospered.   However, nothing lasts forever, and every story has an ending. The mighty cities of the ancient world eventually fell and decayed into ruin. The cycle of birth and destruction continued, however, and from the remnants of those before - new nations rose. Even the great cities of this region are built atop the ruins of ancient cities, which in turn were built upon the foundations of even older cities.   There are wonders everywhere - under every stone lies a story older than anything you've ever known. There is good, and there is also bad.... an ancient evil lies festering underneath Celestia, influencing events, and biding it's time until the time is right....
