Hunter Weapons

Hunter weapons are a sort of successor to the Brand Weapons of the Kingdom of Lorstan . Where the Brands were a symbol of power for Lorstan, Hunter weapons are the symbol for the Kingdom of Lucanto. Utility

Hunter weapon's are very powerful weapons that are widely superior to many enchanted weapons in the world. They can compete with or even overtake many Brand weapons in terms of power and abilities granted to the wielder. The power ceiling or potential for a Hunter weapon is much higher than that of a Brand. Hunter weapons are wielded only by Hunters who have made it to the appropriate rank and training level.

Manufacturing

A quality weapon is first used as a base for the process, as whatever powers and abilities come out of the bound creature will further enhance/strengthen the weapon. It is even possible for Brand Weapons to be used as a base for a Hunter weapon, but it is quite rare to first obtain a Brand and then harder to prepare it to accept the soul of a Beast.

Access & Availability

In Lucanto, the creation and distribution of Hunter weapons is limited to those in the Hunters. Outside Lucanto, other forerunners like Ascadia were found and inspired the creation of weapons or they learned from Lucanto.

Complexity

A solid understanding of magic and the procedures involved in binding the soul of something to the weapon are required.

Discovery

Kelveross and Caliorga discovered the Ascadia during their quest against the false gods and upon studying it, discovered that it was possible to bind the soul of a creature to a weapon.
