Monarch Magic

Monarch magic is an enigma - their exact function is unknown to most people. The arcanists who use this magic can often be seen causing mundane objects to glow, walk on water, and wield massive weapons as if they were made of feathers. There seems to be no throughline between these things, yet the Monarch Magician can master all these and use them to their advantage in every situation.
This magic comes from Monarch Crystals, distinctive orange crystals that grow in flat, hexagonal shapes. Maninbarans are known to carve into the crystals or crush them down to be used in ink to inscribe powerful magical runes.
