Igios Valley

The Igios Valley is a single cavern which has a wide, winding river which provides rich soil for the farmers of the cavern, known as the Bagdi river. The river has cattails and papyrus growing on its shores. Around this river are lush valleys covered in tall grass, palm trees, and rich soil. Past these lush valleys are massive, sandswept dunes which stretch out beyond the horizon. This cavern, the Igios Valley, has an incredibly high roof that cackles with electricity, with a natural layer of fog hugging the ceiling causing occasional rain and thunderstorms. There is always, however, a quiet cackling of lightning above which illuminates the floor of the cavern gently.   On one end of the river is the Great Falls, an immense waterfall from the ceiling of the cavern and is the source of the river. This waterfall encompasses the city of Babylon, enshrouding it in a ring of water and mist that can only be entered through certain gaps in the waterfall's movements. This is the most intense part of the river, which cascades down into a rocky descent which slowly coalesces into the main tendril of the river.   On the other end of the river is the Descent, where the city of Ubaid lies. Here, the river splits into many deltas that all end up going over a cliff into an unknown abyss. Across this abyss is the Eastern Gate of Polaris, which has a single wide stone bridge connecting Ubaid to Polaris. This bridge is very stable and wide enough for five elephants to pass through without touching. However, the water of the river slowly erodes its sides, making it less stable.
