The scorching sun

This world has a low atmosphere, which causes a lot of solar radiation to leak in, causing skin damage, and quite unpleasant heat, in the afternoon the temperatures can reach 41*c but can cool off just as fast, leaving most nights to rest at around 12*c on averages lowest recorded temperatures was -14 but that was 40 year ago, and that was with the care of the dragons. This extreme heat makes it so that people sleep underground during the hottest part of the day, but are outside until they decided it is to hot and call it a day, most will stay out until 11am with the average temp being about 25*c the hottest part of the day usually hits around 4pm on the summer solstice and 532pm on the winter solstice.
