Feath

The Dormant

Where most gods find at least some level of worship in civilization this deity is more often considered a myth than an actual creature, more the stuff of children’s tales than a goddess worthy of a shrine ― at least on the surface. Legends known by few tell of how once, long ago, Feath was a creature of the light and a patron of the drow when they still lived on the surface with their light skinned brethren. Power and betrayal however lead the goddess to be corrupted of the course of eons, and so the same happened to her followers. Little is known about the great wars among surface races that shook the world in centuries past, but it is said that Feath and the drow lost in the end. While the dark elves were banished to live deep in the bowels of the earth Feath was put into eternal slumber and imprisoned in her domain of the shadowfell. The drow depict her as one of their own, a beautiful dark elf woman, but bearing the scars of battle and with one demonic horn on her forehead, and dedicate their lives and and their temples to her.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Sometimes a waking aspect of the goddess still finds its way to the surface to seduce a creature there and enslave it into there service. This way fanatical cults are formed, dedicated to waking the dormant goddess by sacrificing creatures in her name or by breeding chaos among the surface races through lies and cunning. Their weapons are as much ritual daggers as they are intrigue, assassination and seduction.
