Violet Littlefoot
Path of Wild Magic Barbarian
Violet Littlefoot is a member of the Candlekeep Adventuring Party and wields equal parts strength and ferocity. Her and her great-axe have yet to meet a foe they couldn't beat.
Pre-Campaign
Violet grew up in a charming little village in Amn named Poppybriar. Her family owned a bakery. When she was young (15ish), she found herself under the care of a man named Erennidan. She stays with this man and the group he pulls around them until she is roughly 22. This group calls themselves The Witnesses , and their aim was to seek out willing participants to open their minds to the knowledge of The Watcher, a keeper of great arcane knowledge. To begin, they were a travelling group, moving around and gathering more supporters, until they settled into a ruin in the Sword Coast, aiming to translate a series of runes and symbols that had been etched into its walls. Violet's time with this group was spent mainly as a guard and lookout but eventually she was chosen to be the subject of a ritual. The purpose of the ritual was to open Violet's mind to the Watcher who could then communicate with her, and receive his blessing in the form of great magical power. As they began the long task of preparing for this ritual, a new initiate joined their ranks, a half elf named Rune. While Violet was always kind to her, Rune never showed her any favour at first, however, after a time of being on guard duty together, Rune warmed up to Violet and seemed to like her quite a bit. As things got closer to the ritual, Rune seemed more and more agitated by it and once asked Violet if she'd like to run away with her, but Violet refused, totally trusting Erennidan and believing that she would be given old forgotten knowledge and magic powers. Rune then backed off and didn't interfere with the ritual going forward. When the ritual happened, something went wrong, many people were injured, none more than Violet, there was no forgotten knowledge rattling around her head and she didn't have magic powers. After a month of intensive care and then another month of taking it incredibly easy, Violet heard rumours in a nearby town of a monster near Poppybriar. Wishing to help, she asked Erennidan if they could go check it out but he refused. After asking Rune if she thought she should go anyway and getting a resolute "YES" in return, she ran away back to Poppybriar. Once there she discovered that a skeletal minataur had been terrorizing the people there, in a feat of epic bravery she managed to vanquish the creature with a blast of magical energy, mostly likely latent from the failed ritual. Since then, she has had magic burst from her in an uncontrollable fashion when she enters a rage while fighting. She became somewhat of a folk hero to her people, after a couple years, a travelling bard, Marietta. Marietta was impressed by Violets valour, and asked her to be her bodyguard, and they travelled together thereafter. Somewhere along that time, they became involved in a romantic relationship, which ended when Violet met a man named Zar in a bar and told him that she hoped to propose. Zar told her that she should propose to Marietta during one of her performances, along with the words that she should use to propose. This plan did not go well and Marietta broke up with Violet, as well as cursing her (with a 9th level bestow curse spell scroll) to never be able to talk about how she became the hero of Poppybriar. As Zar was the apparent reason for the failed proposal, they banded together to travel to Candlekeep to learn more about her curse, telling her that Marietta just needed some time to cool off, and that he was sure she would contact Violet soon.Campaign
