Lazu

Lazu is a twilight domain cleric. His best skills are: insight, medicine, and survival.   Lazu and Rune share a mother, however, they have not seen much of each other in their lives. Rune lived with her father, and Lazu grew up with their mother. While Rune and her father visited Lazu and their mother a couple times when he were young, they did not continue into adolescence.   His mother died when he was 6-8 years old.   As access to Candlekeep, he gave a mostly hollowed out book with a red handprint on one of the pages along with text in an unknown script.   He got a dream during the sleep between Tarsahk 6 and 7. The dream opened to dark grey/black sand as far as the eye could see, large dark pillars (of stone?) rose around him.   A shadowy figure appeared to him (perhaps his divine patron) and spoke to him of the killing of one of his "sisters". It was determined that she was talking about Morgana, or "The Great Dread Morgan". At first, Lazu was apologetic but then the figure said she was not mad and that "sometimes it is better to cull the weak rather than spend the time to forge them into something powerful", and that she was actually somewhat impressed.   She then spoke about Rune, asking him to steal a book that Rune had written and carried on her. She said that Deneir wanted the book to go to the library, and that it would be best if he was to not let that happen. She also congratulated him on the delivery of the previously mentioned hollowed book to Candlekeep saying that her sister was quite shocked.
