Star Seal

Enchanting bands of runes that stretch across the sky

Stretching across the sky visible during the night, slowly orbiting the planet in parallel bands of repeating arcane runes are the Star Seals. It is unclear why these rings exist.
They manifested during the Calamity, and the runes themselves change with every dawn; some in the modern era believe the runes can predict events in the near future.
Each band of runes is separated by considerable distance from the next: at sea level, it's only possible to see at most three by standing directly underneath one, able to see it's neighbouring bands to the North and South stretching in huge arcs, bridging the horizon with itself.
