Description
Xy'thar is an eldritch abomination of unfathomable horror, a cosmic entity that exists beyond the comprehension of mortal minds. Its true form, if it even has one, remains concealed in a writhing, ever-changing maelstrom of otherworldly colors and grotesque appendages. Those who have glimpsed it, or worse, dared to study it, have been driven to Madness or reduced to gibbering husks.
At the heart of Xy'thar's existence lies its insidious power: the ability to spawn parasitic entities known as Johri, which I have detailed in another entry. These parasites possess the ability to transform an animal, including humans, into a thrall.
Xy'thar's ultimate goal is to subsume the host's consciousness entirely, turning them into a puppet-like thrall devoid of free will. The thrall becomes a mere vessel, compelled to serve the eldritch entity's inscrutable desires. They lose all semblance of humanity, and their actions are driven solely by the alien intelligence that has commandeered their mind.
From my observations, luckily Xy’thar does not seem to move, and has settled in the large mountain range in the western portion of Caligone. By my estimation, It’s approximately 75 miles from Rensir. However, it seems to be unaware of Rensir’s existence. I believe this is due to the fact that in the early years of the Shroud, it roamed the world, and only settled some time after Rensir had properly been founded and developed.
