The settlement's primary focus is on defense and the practice of dark arts, with powerful mages and sorcerers serving as the protectors and caretakers of Tchernobyl. These magical users not only keep the village safe but also ensure its prosperity by harnessing the mystical energies of the surrounding forest. Tchernobilians hold a deep spiritual connection with their dead, they honor them in silent rituals by encasing the settlement in a barrier that doesn't let a weep out, One of the only settlements to still have some sort of festival with food, magical entertainment, often with a show of fire and lights and even some Bards come out of their holes and are welcomed during these festivals.

The settlement consists of imposing stone towers and fortifications surrounded by an enchanted barrier that keeps out both natural and eldritch threats. Tchernobyl conducts elaborate magical funerals, where the deceased are sent off with powerful incantations to ensure their journey to the afterlife is secure.
