From a young age, Darven exhibited an innate affinity for transmutation relating to the earth beneath him. His parents, both accomplished mages, recognized his potential and nurtured his abilities.
As he grew older, Darven honed his skills, mastering the manipulation of stone, soil, and minerals. He delved into the cultural magic of Rensir, seeking to uncover the secrets of the mountain and harness its power. Through years of study and practice, he became a formidable mage, gaining the nickname "Stoneheart" for his unwavering dedication to his craft.
When Darven reached adulthood, he enlisted as a miner, something seldom done by mages, who tend to take leadership positions immediately. From there, he climbed the ranks and achieved a leadership position in the mining guild through hard work. After a cave-in, he used his transmutation expertise to save many miners from fallen debris. From there, he assumed the role of the city's head mage and ruler. Rensir, nestled deep within the mountain's tunnels, was a bustling hub of mining activity. The city's prosperity depended on the vast riches hidden within the mountain's veins, and Darven was determined to protect and harness these resources for the benefit of his people.
