Winter's Wrath

The frozen waters and towering sea fangs , give way to a city of grass roofs and wooden Palisades. Winters Wrath is not a pretty sight , the streets are dirt and frozen mud. Warrior bands descend on one another in the bustling streets as the docks fill with hundreds of longships and raiding vessels, all the while, the sky is lit by strange dancing lights.

Demographics

Around 95 percent of the population is fjordun, mainly warriors and sea raiders. The remaining 5 percent are slaves to work the frozen fields, mine the permafrost, and repair the warships.

Government

The capital of the isles is governed by it's "Sea Lords" , tribal rulers with the largest fleets. Paramount of these is the King of the Isles, whose fleet and armies are massive in comparison to those below him.

Defences

Outside of the natural defenses of the isles, the city is not well protected. It has only wooden Palisades to defend itself from the land.

Industry & Trade

Industry is scarce here. There is some farming but not much. There is a decent trade in mining for metal and coal, and a great need for smiths and ship Wrights.

Infrastructure

There is little infastructure in Winter's Wrath. It does not have roads or sewers, and only a handful of forges. It does however, possess a massive series of docks and ship yards. These are invaluable as the fjordun people rely on boats for travel, trade, and most importantly; raiding.

Assets

Winter's Wrath has little stores but sits on a strange amount of gold, most of which has been stolen from the mainland.

Guilds and Factions

The main factions in Winter's Wrath are the Sea Lords and their tribal alliances.

History

An ancient settlement, Winter's Wrath was isolated for centuries. When the isles were unified and stability reigned the population exploded. The city was not capable of handling such a boom and quickly became dilapidated. Over the years the city has improved, but in comparison to the other captials it is rather poor and dangerous.

Architecture

The city is built from wood and most homes have grass covered roofs to help insulate from the cold. It is all rather primitive and crude, but bears it's basic function.

Geography

The windswept and frigid land of the isles provide no mercy. The sea freezes almost year round, and as such, the entire place is desolate. It would be quiet if not for the constant fighting of it's residents.
