Underground Jungle
This underground cave system has been acting as a home to animals and plants thought to have gone extinct millions of years ago. UV light generated by white hot magnesium fires in various fissures scattered throughout the system is believed to be a keystone in supporting the ecosystem as it allows phosphorescent minerals to re-emit the light in wavelengths useful to plant life. The mechanism responsible for the continuous supply of magnesium is unknown.
