Alchemy is such a fascinating art. He went to his cabinet and took out a small disk of silver, which he then placed into the center of a pentagon drawn with charcoal. Once in the center of the pentagon, he added a concave glass lens onto the disk. If this worked, his brothers and sisters would be most pleased. This would make them visible. He began to chant.

Officially, they tend to use their abilities for good, but due to the fact that they are incredibly shady, they are often regarded with some distrust.

Assets

Alchemists are often in the good graces of governors, lords and other ruling bodies. Due to their access to rare and powerful substances, they can make a substantial profit out of these through trade. Needless to say, Alchemists are usually quite rich, even if they hide their riches and influence in court.

History

Alchemy is a relatively recent discovery. Contrary to popular opinion, the Alchemists have only been active for maybe one and a half centuries, attempting to further their knowledge of Alchemy. Despite this, the Alchemists rose in the ranks of courts and rich organizations. This incredibly fast climb has led some of the more impressionable people to believe that they are in fact centuries old, which is simply not true.
